"A Stitch in Time" is an Adobe Flash adventure game built using Lassie Adventure Studio. The game follows the style of classic Lucas Arts adventure games, such as "The Curse of Monkey Island". "Stitch" is the sequel to Matthias Kempke's 2007 hit indie game, "What Makes You Tick". Lassie Games presents this game by Matthias Kempke and Greg MacWilliam.

After almost nine months of polishing, testing, and tweaking, Matt and I are calling it DONE and getting the game ready for release. So…

September 9, 2010 will be the release date of What Makes You Tick: A Stitch in Time. The game will be a commercial release with a sales price of $15 USD (about 11,50 EUR or 10 GBP), and will be available via direct download (the full game is about 65Mb). The game is an Adobe AIR app, so will run on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Putting this game together has been a long haul over the past two years, so we hope you’ll consider supporting independent game development by checking out the final release!

Oh, and be sure to check out the home page to see the official poster artwork!

After a lot of consideration, Matt and I have decided to reject a couple of music tracks that we were planning on using in Stitch because we can’t prove their public domain status. Instead, we’d like to replace them with some ragtime piano (Joplin, Hayden) that we know is public domain. However, having public domain music alone is not enough… performances and recordings are also intellectual material. Therefore, we need our own recorded performances of all public domain works.

So… are you a pianist? Do you know one? We have two ragtime piano tracks that we’re looking to have recorded. One is the “Sunflower Slow Drag” (Joplin / Hayden), the other is the “Pine Apple Rag” (Joplin). If you or anyone you know has the ability to record yourselves playing one of these tracks, please respond in this post’s comments. We’d love to have a fan create these tracks, so we’re throwing this out to you all while we continue searching for a performer. The performer would receive full accreditation and a modest payment.

Thanks all – any piano talent referrals would be extremely helpful!

So, there is still activity and we’re trying hard to get this game released. Unfortunately though, the process is exceptionally slow and tedious. We’ll keep folks updated on progress.

For those who may have missed the original announcement, there’s been a fishing tournament running at the stand-alone fishing game page, playable online at: http://www.lassiegames.com/games/stitch_fishing/.

All you need to do is catch as many fish as you can, as quickly as you can. The top ten high scores will be published in the final game handbook, which is being constructed right now. Therefore – time is running out. Fish now, or forever be omitted from the Ravenhollow fishing record books. You have one week. The final scores will be logged on Saturday, June 20th. In the meantime, you can track the tournament’s current high scores at:

http://www.lassiegames.com/games/stitch_fishing/about.php

And lastly – don’t be intimidated by the current high scores! The low-end scores are still beatable. Good luck!

First, let me apologize for the complete lack of activity here on the website during the past month. However, no news does NOT mean lack of effort – quite the contrary. We’ve been hard at work on testing and cleaning up the game, so haven’t gotten around to making website updates. Progress is good, and we have some great testers who are are really helping us mature the game!

I also snapped off a few new screenshots recently and have now posted them into the media section. I’ll probably follow up with a few more yet before the final release. As always – thanks to our fans who are interested in the project, and thanks for your patience while we work hard on wrapping it up.

It was a year ago this month that we announced “What Makes You Tick: A Stitch in Time”. So, it only seems appropriate that we follow up with a status report on the project a year later.

The good news is that Stitch – for all intents and purposes – is complete! We’ve got the whole game built, and we’re now busy polishing it up with a detail pass. Our goal is to have this first build into the hands of our testers by next week, and from there we’ll devote the rest of April and May to addressing their feedback. That makes June our likely timeframe for release (emphasis: likely). A hard release date will be forthcoming after we have a chance to review the feedback from our testers. While we don’t anticipate any major snags, you just never know.

In the meantime, be on the lookout for some new screenshots in the coming weeks. We’ll start going deeper into Ravenhollow with some new media releases between now and launch. Until then, enjoy the demo, and keep on Fishing!

By popular demand: the What Makes You Tick: A Stitch in Time demo’s fishing mini game is being released as a standalone game! Fans have been enjoying the fishing game, so we’ve set it up on a page that can be bookmarked and linked to, available at: http://www.lassiegames.com/games/stitch_fishing/.

But wait, there’s more! This is an ever so slightly enhanced version of the fishing game… Curious? Well, it includes a high scores chart. You want to be THE BEST, and we want to know who is THE BEST – because the best of the best deserve to go down in history. That said, today kicks off the Ravenhollow Fishing Tournament. You have the next few months before we release the full game to compete for the top 10 scores. Our tournament winners’ names and high scores will then be published in the final What Makes You Tick: A Stitch in Time player’s handbook.

So…. GO FISH!! And enjoy.
